WebbI did an SX-636 this summer with similar issues. Even after cleaning, it’s probably going to need some new transistors and capacitors. There are lots of how-to guides out there and the service manuals are easy to get. It’s a fun project and definitely worth the effort. The SX-X3X series receivers look and sound great!
